Question for the experts...
First of all thank you for all the information you guys share and discuss on here, it really helps since I never participated in the sport beyond 8th grade gym class..
As for the question - I’ve noticed redshirts are handled different than football - it’s normal to redshirt in year one for football , but for wrestling it seems to be all over the place. What is the basic driver / strategy for when a wrestler redshirts, if ever? Is it mostly about giving them a year to adjust to a weight gain, for instance? Thanks again!!
